PRHomes is a real estate application that helps people find and connect with apartment landlords, property owners, agents, and managers. It also provides professionals with an easy way to list their properties online.

Problem

Real estate acquisition, whether for homes or offices, involves complex processes from inquiry to finalization. Many face challenges, from prolonged searches to encountering fraudulent agents. Prospective buyers often struggle, while property owners and agents face limited marketing and outreach to the right customers.

Approach

Got started immersing myself in individuals' real-life encounters with the issue. Needing a deeper context, I stepped back to gather additional data that would both align with and challenge my initial findings. To achieve this, I conducted quantitative research through Google Forms surveys. My aim was to intimately understand their initial processes, thoughts, and frustrations when navigating real estate acquisitions,

Defining Personas

Getting insights from the research methods, I narrowed down the ideal users of these solutions and created personas to represent who they are, as they help inform future decisions

Design Solution

Brainstorming possible solutions for the task at hand, I crafted possible user flows for both user groups to help guide the design phase which can be summarized into

1. Search and Filter, this allows users to feel in control as they have a say in what they’re looking for
2. Easy on-platform communication between all parties involved
3. Making the listing process for realtor more straightforward

Making listing process seamless

One of the key insights for users who have used solutions like these is how complex the process usually are. How i solved this was to use a multi step form such that users are aware of what is required and the required steps to complete the listing process.

Learnings and Outcomes

Throughout this project learnt some valuable lessons I would hold very close going forward

1. Feedback is very important, it helps you see the solution from users perspective not just your own then adjust your solution accordingly.


2. Documentation is just as important as designing, saves you so much brain power.
